Elizabeth KAIN was born 10 Aug 1780 probably in South Carolina. Her birthdate is taken from family Bible records of Silas and Elizabeth (KAIN) STARR. In a recently (for me!) discovered DAR application, she is reported to be the daughter of John CAIN/KAIN of South Carolina. The information uncovered regarding him can be found by selecting his name.
Elizabeth married first John C(arroll?) PINKSTON, the son of Shadrach PINKSTON and Athaliza CARROLL.
They had two children, both most likely born in Wilkes County, Georgia:
- Greenberry, b. 8 Aug 1802, d. 28 Mar 1839.
- Elizabeth, b. 1804, d. 3 Sep 1804.
After the death of John C. Pinkston, Elizabeth married secondly Silas STARR on 4 Dec 1806, probably in Wilkes County, Georgia. Their children can be seen by selecting his name.
Elizabeth moved with Silas from Wilkes County to Newton County around 1820, and she resided there in the community of Starrsville until the time of her death on 3 May 1856. She is buried in the Starr Cemetery in Starrsville, Newton County, Georgia.
