Abraham Shiver was born 18 Feb 1819 in either Georgia or South Carolina. He was the son of John Jackson Shiver and Sarah Ann SWILLEY.
Abraham was md. abt. 1850 to Minda or Minnie JOHNSON. The known children of this couple, all born in Alabama, are:
- Elizabeth or Betty Shiver, b. abt. 1852.
- Sarah, b. abt. 1854.
- Nicholas, b. abt. 1860.
