Mary Ann WEGER was born about 1817, probably in Owen County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Abraham WEGER and Joycy FORD.

She was married to James McCORKLE on 7 May 1835 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. To this marriage was born 6 children:

1. Sarah, b. 27 Sep 1836, d. 8 Aug 1913. (Married Bethel R. HAYHURST).
   
2. Martha Caroline, b. 29 May 1837, d. 3 Oct 1902. (Married Alfred FORD).
   
3. Louisa, b. abt. 1841.
   
4. William Charles, b. 14 Feb 1842, d. 21 Jan 1920. (Married Martha Jane DUTTON).
   
5. Mary Ellen, b. abt. 1846, d. 16 Oct. 1881. (Married George William MIDGETT).
   
6. Cynthia Ann, b. 18 Dec 1848, d. 13Feb 1929. (Married George Washington STRANGE).
   

James McCorkle died about 1848 in Kentucky. Mary Ann then came to Crawford County, Illinois to be closer to her brother's families. She died on 19 Aug 1881 in Crawford County, Illinois.
