John WEGER was probably born about 1815-1820, perhaps in Tennessee. He appears to be the son of Abraham WEGER and Joycy FORD.
He was married to Cynthia Ann FORD on 27 Sep 1838 in Crawford County, Illinois. To this marriage was born 2 children:
- Samuel, b. abt. 1841.
- William, b. abt. 1844/early 1845.
John's first wife, Cynthia Ann, appears to have died in late 1844/early 1845 and he remarried to Nancy McGuire 13 Mar 1845 in Crawford County, Illinois. To this marriage was born 3 children:
- George W., b. 17 Feb 1847, d. 9 Jul 1922. (Married Mary "Polly" PARKER).
- Hannah Ann, b. 1848, d. 5 Aug 1896. (Married Otho Washington ALLEN).
- Martha E., b. 8 Aug 1849, d. 17 Nov 1921. (Married (1) John Andrew HUNT and (2) Simpson MURRAY).
