Eliza was born 10 May 1843 in Dooly County, Georgia, the daughter of Enoch SHIVER and Dedemiah LOVE or NETTLES. She was married 16 Dec 1858 in Dougherty County, Georgia to Darius RAMSEY, son of Alexander and Rachel RAMSEY. The known children of this couple are:

- Ella McDora, b. 28 Mar 1868. (Married Mr. ODOM).
- Daughter, b. Apr 1870, d. bef. Jun 1880.
- Nancy Lieuzenia or Rosena, b. 21 Apr 1872. (Married Alexander RAMSEY).
- Alice, b. 1875, d. young.
- Cary Darius, b. 19 Apr 1878. (Married (1) Nathalee ???? and (2) Unknown).
- William Elzie, b. 21 Sep 1880. (Married Miss WALLACE).
- Jessie Belle, b. 4 Oct 1882. (Married Mr. MINTON).
- Hattie Eubilia, b. 6 May 1884. (Married Charles GRAY).

Eliza died 6 Jul 1900 in Acree, Dougherty County, Georgia. She is buried in Pine Bluff Cemetery in Albany, Dougherty County, Georgia. Darius followed her in death on 2 Jul 1919 and is also buried in Pine Bluff Cemetery in Albany.
