Obituary of Lorice Adele (PLEASANT) LINVILLE, published in The Robinson Daily News, Wednesday, 25 Feb 1920.
   Lorice Adele Pleasant, only child of Robert D. and Arminta Pleasant, was born at Robinson, Ill., August 27, 1882 and departed this life, February 13, 1920 at the age of 37 years, 5 months and 16 days. The funeral services were held at the First M. E. church Monday, by the pastor, Rev. R. L. George. Interment was made in the Greenwood cemetery at Newton, Kans.
   She was taken sick with influenza February 4, but it was thought she was practically recovered when pneumonia developed on the day of her death.
   Lorice united with the M. E. church in early life and lived a Christian life until death. She was united in marriage to Lant Linville, December 20, 1905 at Indianapolis, Ind. To this union were born two daughters, Albert Janette, age 12 and Alice Lavon, age 10. Besides the husband, two daughters and aged father, who resides in Los Angeles, Cal., she is survived by many relatives. Her mother preceded her in death, November 20, 1910.
   Mrs. Linville was a devoted wife and mother and will be sadly missed not only by her family and relatives but by many friends here and elsewhere.

Obituary of Charles Lester WEGER.
   Charles Lester Weger, son of Samuel and Jocie Weger was born February 18, 1861, and departed this life February 21, 1920, aged 59 years, 3 days. He was married to Viola Parker, September 3, 1885. To this union were born nine children: Marion, Otto, Hanby, Carl, John, Cora, Lizzie, Samuel and Leonard. Carl preceded him in death several years. John died in the service of his country and lies sleeping in France. Departed has three brothers and one sister surviving him: J. William of Forest, Miss.; Alfred Parmer of Ukiah, Cal.; Frank of Boulder, Col., and Lucy of Cripple Creek, Col. He was born in Honey Creek township where he was well known and everyone was his friend.
   He was a kind and affectionate husband and father for his wife and children were first in his life. He was a citizen and neighbor whose loss will be greatly felt by the community. He was a member of Camp No. 2133 M.W.A. for twenty-four years. He was a firm believer in God and immortality,
   Funeral services were conducted at the residence by Rev. I. C. Tedford and the remains laid to rest in the Jones cemetery.

Obituary of Cora Caroline WALTERS.
   The third funeral in the family of Mr. and Mrs. Azel Walters was held Saturday, February 21 at the Prairie M. E. church by O. O. Maxfield of Oblong. Cora Caroline, daughter of Azel and Lillie Walters was born on January 26, 1905 and died at the home of her parents, after several days battle with the flu, February 19, 1920, at the age of 15 years and 26 days.
   She leaves father, mother, three brothers, and one sister, and one half-sister. Her half-sister, Mrs. Orva Eaton died February 10 and her brother Edgar died on February 12, making three deaths in the family in nine days.

Obituary of Riley and Johnny McCOLPIN, published in The Robinson Daily News, 21 Feb 1920.
Age and Boyhood Joined in Death
   Lawrenceville, Ill. -- Febraury 21 -- A double funeral for Riley McColpin, aged 82 years, and his grandson, Johnny McColpin, aged 10 years, was held at the U. B. church Thursday at 10:30. The grandfather died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ira Mills, Tuesday at 1:30 and the grandson who is a son of Everett and Minnie McColpin. died at 2:15 of the same day. The older man will be interred at Derr and the boy in the Otterbein cemetery. Flu followed by pneumonia caused both deaths.

Obituary of Tom WARNER, published in The Robinson Argus (Flat Rock Journal Items, 14 Mar 1923.
   Tom Warner, aged about 80 years, died Monday from the infirmities of old age. He lived at the upper edge of Lawrence county and was well known in and around Flat Rock.

Obituary of Willard WEGER, published in The Robinson Argus (Flat Rock Journal Items, 14 Mar 1923.
   Willard Weger died Tuesday night at the Robinson hospital from peritonitis. The body was taken to the family home two miles south of Hardinsville Wednesday morning. He was 31 years old and leaves a wife and family. The funeral was held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Weger, both deceased.

Obituary of Mrs. Elizabeth YOUNG, published in The Robinson Argus (Flat Rock Journal Items, 14 Mar 1923.
Mrs. Elizabeth Young died at the home of her son, John Young, Friday, March 2, after a few days illness of pneumonia. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church Sunday, March 4, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. T. B. McClain.

Obituary of Joe EUBANKS, published in Oblong Oracle Items
   Joe Eubanks died at his home on East 13th street Wednesday morning and was buried in the Oblong cemetery yesterday afternoon. Mr. Eubanks was one of the old timers, residing southwest of Oblong, later moving to Willow Hill where he resided for a good many years and then returned to Oblong where he with his wife has lived for two or three years.

Obituary of Thomas H. McCOLPIN, published in The Robinson Argus, 2 Aug 1922.
Services Held Tuesday for Thomas H. McColpin
   Thomas Harvey McColpin, 77, died Saturday at his home west of Flat Rock, following a long illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Union Church with burial in the Tohill cemetery.
   Survivors are his widow, Ella, two daughters, Ruby C. Johnson of San Francisco, Calif., Bertha L. Corbett of Modesto, Calif., nine sons, Ray H., of Robinson, Lloyd W., of Oden, Jasper E., of Noble, Carl A., of Patoka, Roy F., of Camp Abbott, Ore., Harry O., of Noble, Carson D., of England, Lawrence D., of Sumner, and Glen E., of Camp Barkeley, Texas; also two half-brothers, Charles of Tulsa, Okla., and Harlin of St. Francisville.

Obituary of James W. TRACY, published in The Robinson Argus, 20 Apr 1967.
   James W. Tracy, 74, 402 S. Range St., Oblong, died at 5:45 a.m. Monday at Crawford Memorial Hospital here where he had been a patient since April 9th.
   A retired pumper for Marathon Oil Company and a veteran of World War I, Mr. Tracy is survived by his wife, Florence; five sons, Paul Tracy, Pampa, Texas; Earl and Wayne Tracy, both of Oblong; Clarence Tracy, Madison Heights, Mich.; and Lee Tracy, Grand Rapids, Mich.; one daughter, Mrs. Rex (Helen) Cruzen, St. Louis, Mo.; 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mary Allen, rural Oblong.
   Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Marshall Funeral Chapel at Oblong with Rev. Carl Hall officiating, assisted by Rev. Calvin Smith. Interment followed in Kirk Cmeetery where Oblong Legion Post 219 conducted graveside services.
